The pose: Hanumanasana (aka the Monkey Pose)

The benefits: Wowee! This pose, which is of real spiritual significance, requires maximum flexibility. Besides being a great hip-opener, it strengthens your hamstrings, legs and abs, while also reflecting a deeper opening of your heart and soul. Doing ‘the splits’ reduces stress levels, enhances your sleep and improves digestion.

About the yogi: Nathalie has just qualified as a Hatha yoga instructor. She says yoga is like a best friend, giving her non-judgmental advice whenever tough situations arise. Practising regularly helps Nathalie make sharper, better decisions. “I can’t imagine living without the magic of yoga,” she admits.
