THE KEY TO A FREE SPIRIT’S HEART
We all know a woman like this (you might be her) – she’s independent, free-spirited and has a zest for life. She isn’t restrained by conventions and doesn’t need to be rescued by a knight in shining armour although her soul comes alive when she’s in a connected, loving partnership. However, like most feminine goddesses, her heart has been bruised and battered in the past, and she’s learned several lessons along the way. She has worked on trying to heal herself. She also protects her independence and free-spiritedness more than ever. And she keeps the key to her heart, well close to her heart. Probably a little too close.
This is because she might be wary about giving her love away again. She still recalls the shattering pain her last heartbreak caused. But she’s happy in her own company and isn’t searching for a man to quell any feelings of loneliness or fill any void. She doesn’t expect love to be a bed of roses either. She’s after the raw, imperfect kind of love that has wings and is able to blossom and evolve freely, among the thorns and weeds, into something deeper. Like a shared higher purpose.
So while a free spirited goddess longs to give her love in an unrestricted fashion, she still finds it daunting. She will protect her freedom like a tigress protects her cubs. *PROTECT HER
Yes, she might be relatively fearless and happily go off backpacking to Bolivia on her own but she still likes to know her man is there if and when she needs him. She likes to feel protected and cared for. A free spirit will wait until her man has consistently proved that he is really there for her. *BE CONSISTENT
*Men who are strong and consistent in their behaviour (this doesn’t mean boring or unpredictable) mean that she will feel protected and safe and therefore willing to open up her heart fully. This means there are boundaries and open spaces for love to grow. Remember, her heart is only half-open and like a tortoise, she will retreat if she feels hesitant.
