We all know someone who has been touched by breast cancer, since it affects one in three of us. Cutting down on risk factors is crucial. Using the right deodorant is one way of warding off the big C. Several studies have highlighted the harmful effects of antiperspirants containing parabens (preservatives commonly used in spray-ons) and aluminium (a carcinogenic ingredient). If you check the ingredients of most antiperspirants, they contain dodgy substances. Spraying your arm pits every day with hazardous chemicals, which are then absorbed into your bloodstream, is likely to damage your immune system. Knowing this, I only use chemical-free deodorants.
