*When I first set up this blog, a friend of mine came up to me all excited, asking if I’d read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. For him, it was a profound book, a philosophical odyssey into fundamental humanitarian questions on how we live. This narration of a summer motorcycle trip undertaken by a father and his son, has become a classic cult-like transcendent book. Its success over the past 25 years – from rave reviews to millions of copies sold in 23 languages – is something every writer dreams about.
*I’m a fan of Herbline Essentials and now they have created a potent new product called AHA cream. This 100% organic, anti-ageing gem works as an exfoliator to remove the top layers of dead skin, boosting collagen production and plumping up your complexion. It contains essential oils from grape seed, coconut and almond blended with lactic acid and aloe vera. Luxurious, youth-enhancing and zero toxins. You can’t go wrong.
*A few of my yogi friends are out there producing amazing blogs from San Francisco to Aberdeen – The Om Existence, Desert Swan, Ems Yoga & Pilates and Lakshya Yoga. So, why not put on the kettle, have a cuppa and a read.
*Talking of having a cuppa, whenever I’m feeling low in energy, I make myself a hot, homemade ginger tea and it really does the trick. It also eases stomach aches (think PMT) and it helps digestion. Plus, it’s dead easy to make:
What you’ll need:
• 6-8 thin slices of raw ginger (preferably crushed)
• 2 cups water
• Juice from 1 lime
• 1-2 tbsp honey (or agave nectar) or to taste
Preparation:
Boil the ginger in water for 10 minutes, or for a stronger brew, go for 20 minutes. The secret is to use plenty of ginger and to crush a few slices so that it gives a more flavourful kick. Once the water has finished boiling, add the lime juice and honey. Enjoy your pukka, homemade ginger tea!
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL THURSDAY!
Love,
