*Yesterday, my friend invited me to an event called The Ultimate You Series – 8 speakers talk for 8 minutes about something motivational. The session opened with Omar Nour (a 2016 World Triathlon Contender) who spoke about how he used to exist in the corporate world as overweight and unfulfilled – now he’s a professional athlete on a mission to spread his zest for live to others. Later, Dr Daryl Turner (a hormonal expert who once appeared on Dr Phil’s show) educated us on how most of us are dangerously low on iodine intake and how this has detrimental effect on our immune system. One half of the Wellness Brothers talked about the ill effects of a sedentary lifestyle while Kaya Peters talked about how yoga saved her life. For me, the stand out talk (entitled Cavalli to Manali) was from Moustafa Hamwi, who went from partying with celebrities on yachts to realizing that there was a huge void in his life, before buying a one-way ticket to India. Turning inwards, Moustafa undertook weeks of meditation and water fasts and returned to Dubai to promote healthy, spiritual living.
*Talking of soulful, my next Chakradance workshop (open to everyone) is at sunset on Friday, March 27th in a friend’s private garden in Jumeirah. This workshop will consist of a guided dance journey through the 7 major chakras as well as mandala art, mediation and delicious, nutritious Asian-inspired food provided by The Sacred Kitchen. Think pumpkin Thai curry and (vegan) chocolate pot de creme. And we’ll sit and eat together by a campfire . For more info or to book a place, please email me at sarah@oncloudzen.com
*I’ll be moving out of my apartment in Downtown Dubai at the end of this month and so I’m doing some more de-cluttering. It’s amazing what we accumulate within a 10 year-period – way too much stuff that we don’t even need or use. And once we give it to a new home, we feel so much lighter and liberated. I recommend doing an in-depth spring clean of your wardrobe and house, in order to generate more flow of positive chi in your home. And like Albert Einstein once said, ‘Out of clutter, find simplicity’.
*From mid-April onwards, I will be beginning a new adventure, in the valleys and coffee plantations of Chikmagalur in India, to serve at a spiritual retreat centre called Kevala Foundation, run by Himalayan Yogi, Dr Pradeep Ullal, who is one of the few yogis in the world, able to activate a Kundalini awakening through energy transmissions. He is visiting Dubai at the end of the month, for an event entitled, ‘Wisdom of the Himalayan Mystics’ at Miracles Centre. It will be a powerful, inspirational session for those who are keen to explore an inward journey. For more info go to www.miraclesworldwide.com
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Love,
Sarah
